Update for sake of updating. Yes. I am still alive.

It appears that few fellow tankers started to doubt in me. But I am still alive and RCP 8.8 project is active.

However, RCP 8.8 is temporary suspended in favor of another little project. That project is also RCP related.

Yup. That's RCP manager. As you can see, screenshot was made just when I was testing download RCV 8.7 with it.

It will:

  • Check status of updates.
  • Allow one-click download and installation mechanism.
  • Also it will make maintenance of RCP installation, keeping Paths.xml files all neat and tidy.
  • Allow controlled removal of RCP packages.
  • Migrate your old RCP 8.7 packages to RCP 8.8 with just one click. (well, two if you count change of tab)
Why? To make things easier. It was final goal of making current RCP structure (modular, cascade, independent).

What are advantages over old manual installation?

  • This program did read How-To guide, which means that it is better suited to install RCP than majority of population :> (Seriously. RCP 8.7: 500+ hits. How-To guide: ~250 hits)
  • Multi-part download - in case of dc prone connection it will help.
  • Ability to keep RCP wherever you want (well, you can do it now as well... if you know how).
Also, and that deserves separate paragraph, it will allow easy multi-level compatibility.
You do not need every bush in correct place? Do not download map compatibility packages then. Will save a lot of space.
Want all tanks to look exactly like in that old game version? Just fetch additional tank models package.

That utility should be available for download soon. After that it will be feed all 8.x compatibility (reused from
