RCP troubleshooting
RCP troubleshooting
RCP Manager 2 is created to be sturdy, bug resistant and easy to use. It is made to automate as much as possible, however it is still possible to manually correct its inadequate behavior.

RCP 9.2 will be here soon.
Do not worry, I have not forgotten.
New version of RCP Manager is ready and first compatibility packages (RCV's) for 9.2 will roll out tomorrow. (Without making 9.1-9.2 old ones simply won't work).
For following reasons RCV's will be rolled with delays between them, proceeding from most recent (9.1-9.2) to oldest (7.1-7.2).
- saturating net with seeds/webseeds (RCP will be released via torrent and web hostings).
- testing, there is always some to do.
- patching, it always comes after testing.
- minor updates to Manager.
- my bandwidth.
- my time.

RCP release delayed until 9.2 rolls out.
Tittle pretty much sums it up.
Although I could rush RCP 9.1 before 9.2 release, it have little sense.
Instead I will use this time to polish up new RCP manager and correct some bugs in previous releases. As of now full 8.x chain is complete.
I guess I can share some info on new form of upcoming RCP release:
- same awesome cascade RCC system as before, but tuned up a few notches.
- full 7.x and 8.x support will be released in parts. I pretty much have it ready, but preparing such amount of data for release gonna take a while so I'll just share it in parts.
- third generation RCPmanager utility (with drag&drop).
- no more RCPdownloader, instead RCP will be released via torrent boosted by webseed (direct download). At some point I will add update notifier to RCPm utility.
- increasing size - RCP system uses files from original game, which means it gets fatter together with WoT (recently mostly due to graphic changes). However average amount of data RCP requires per versions is still around 1GB.
- RCP manager will not provide support for Windows XP anymore. As of now minimal requirements are same as those of .NET 4.5. If you are still fanatically worshiping obsolete technology you may attempt to use Mono, however have in mind that I will provide no support at all for issues with it.
